Phaleria macrocarpa (Scheff.) Boerl. is a flowering plant in the Thymelaeaceae family. It is native to New Guinea and the Nicobar Islands, growing in tropical regions up to 1,200 m elevation. It is known by local names including buah mahkota dewa and God's crown.

Description

Phaleria macrocarpa is a dense evergreen tree species found in the tropical regions of New Guinea and the Nicobar Islands. It is a member of the Thymelaeaceae family and is commonly referred to as buah mahkota dewa, God's crown, or pau. The species is indigenous to areas up to 1,200 m above sea level. It was first described in 1900.
