Petrophile striata is a shrub in the Proteaceae family, native to the south-west of Western Australia. It was first described in 1830 by R.Br. The plant has pinnate or bipinnate leaves with a striated texture and sharply pointed tips. Its flowers are arranged in oval heads and have a silky-hairy texture, appearing in yellow, creamy-yellow, or cream colours.

Description

Petrophile striata is a flowering shrub belonging to the Proteaceae family. It is found exclusively in the south-western region of Western Australia. The species was published in 1830 by Robert Brown. The leaves are pinnate or bipinnate, striated, and sharply pointed. The flowers are clustered in oval-shaped inflorescences and are covered in silky hairs, with a colour range from yellow to creamy-yellow or cream.
