Description
Petrophile pedunculata, known as conesticks, is a member of the Proteaceae family. It is found exclusively in New South Wales. The species is characterized by its divided leaves with needle-like pinnae and yellow or cream-colored, oval-shaped flower heads. These flowers are sparsely hairy and are supported by a short peduncle measuring 10–15 mm in length. The plant was first described in 1810 by Robert Brown.
