Petrophile megalostegia is a shrub in the Proteaceae family, native to southwestern Western Australia. It was first described in 1876 by F.Muell.
Description
Petrophile megalostegia is a flowering shrub characterized by needle-shaped or flattened, occasionally S-shaped leaves with sharply-pointed tips. It produces more or less cylindrical flower heads that are silky-hairy and range in color from yellow to cream. This species is endemic to the region of Western Australia and is part of the Proteaceae family, commonly known as the protea family.
