Petrophile antecedens is a flowering plant in the Proteaceae family, native to the south-west of Western Australia. It is a small, upright shrub with pointed, cylindrical leaves and spherical clusters of pale cream, hairy flowers.

Petrophile antecedens is a species of flowering plant in the Proteaceae family, described by Hislop & Rye in 2002. It is found only in Western Australia, where it grows as a small, open shrub. The plant features sharply pointed, cylindrical leaves and produces spherical inflorescences of pale cream-coloured, hairy flowers.
