Persoonia virgata, described by R.Br. in 1810, is a shrub in the Proteaceae family. It is found in New South Wales and Queensland. The species is characterized by its linear to narrow spatula-shaped leaves and yellow flowers grouped on elongated rachises. The rachis can grow up to 230 mm long and continues to elongate after flowering. The plant has smooth bark and hairy young branchlets.
