Persoonia rigida, described by R.Br. in 1830, is a member of the Proteaceae family. It is found in New South Wales and Victoria. The species is characterized by its hairy young branchlets and leaves that are initially hairy. Its flowers are yellow and arranged in groups on a rachis that can reach 90 mm in length. The rachis continues to grow after the flowering period.
