Description
Persoonia isophylla was described by L.A.S. Johnson and P.H. Weston in 1991. It is part of the genus Persoonia within the Proteaceae family. This species is found only in New South Wales. The plant is characterized by its shrub-like growth form, soft foliage, and clusters of yellow, cylindrical flowers. Its distinguishing feature is the presence of full-sized leaves at the base of the flowers, which contrasts with the smaller leaf bases of P. pinifolia. While P. isophylla and P. pinifolia may grow in the same areas, hybridization between the two is rare.
