Caryocar brasiliense, known as pequi, is a species in the Caryocaraceae family. It is native to several regions in Brazil, as well as Bolivia and Paraguay. The species was first described in 1828 by Cambess. The fruit of this tree is consumed in certain parts of Brazil, particularly in the central-west region.

It is found in Brazil's northern, southeastern, southern, and western-central regions, as well as in Bolivia and Paraguay. The fruit of this species is known as pequi and is consumed in parts of Brazil. The species was first published in 1828 by Cambess.
