Gamochaeta pensylvanica, known as Pennsylvania cudweed, is a species in the Asteraceae family. It is native to South America and has been introduced to Eurasia, Africa, Australia, and North America. The name 'pensylvanica' is misleading, as the plant is not native to Pennsylvania and is only marginally naturalized there.

Description

Gamochaeta pensylvanica (Willd.) Cabrera is a flowering plant in the Asteraceae family. It is native to South America and has been introduced to various regions, including Açores, Madeira, Portugal Continental, Brazil, several islands in the Azores, Madeira, and parts of Europe and Africa. The species was published in 1961. Despite its name, it is not native to Pennsylvania and is only marginally naturalized in that region.
