Description

Protea humiflora is a species of flowering shrub in the genus Protea. It is part of the Proteaceae family and is endemic to the Cape Provinces of South Africa. The plant's distribution includes mountainous areas such as the Du Toitskloof, Langeberg, and Waboomsberg. It typically reaches a width of 2 m and produces flowers between July and September, with the highest frequency in August. The species was first described in 1808 by the botanist Andrews.
