Description
Parashorea chinensis, described by Wang Hsie in 1977, is a member of the Dipterocarpaceae family, commonly known as the dipterocarp family. This tree species is found in southern China, as well as in northern Laos and Vietnam. Due to significant habitat loss, the species is considered threatened. In China, it is afforded first-class national protection to help conserve its populations and prevent further decline.
