Panda oleosa is a species in the genus Panda, the sole member of the family Pandaceae. It is native to western and central Africa.

Description

Panda oleosa, described by Pierre in 1896, is the only known species in the genus Panda and the family Pandaceae. It is distributed across several countries in western and central Africa, including Cameroon, Cabinda, Central African Republic, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Zaïre, and GN. The species is commonly known as 'panda' in English and other local languages.
