Palisota

Palisota bracteosa belongs to the genus Palisota in the botanical family Commelinaceae. This species is distributed across several countries in western Africa, including Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Gulf of Guinea islands, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Togo. The plant was formally described in 1881 by C.B. Clarke. It is also known by the common name Palisota in English.
