Pinguicula lusitanica, or Pale Butterwort, is a small butterwort native to acidic peat bogs in western Europe and northwestern Africa. It is found in coastal regions from western Scotland, Ireland, and western England through western France, the Iberian Peninsula, and into Morocco.

Description

Pinguicula lusitanica belongs to the Lentibulariaceae family and is part of the Pinguicula genus. It is distributed across Portugal Continental, Algeria, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Morocco, Portugal, and Spain. First described in 1753 by Linnaeus, this species is commonly known as Pale Butterwort in English. It thrives in acidic peat bog habitats along the Atlantic coast of western Europe and extends into northwestern Africa.
