Pachyphytum bracteosum is a perennial succulent in the Crassulaceae family, native to Mexico. It is found growing on rocks at elevations between 1,200 and 1,800 meters. The species has a diploid number of 66 or 132 and is closely related to Pachyphytum oviferum and Pachyphytum longifolium.
Description
Pachyphytum bracteosum, described by Link, Klotzsch & Otto in 1841, is a member of the genus Pachyphytum. It is distributed in the BR, Mexico Gulf, and Mexico Northeast regions. This species is characterized by its succulent structure and is adapted to rocky environments. Its closest relatives include Pachyphytum oviferum and Pachyphytum longifolium.
