Ovate Goat Grass

Aegilops geniculata is a grass species belonging to the Poaceae family. It is commonly referred to as Ovate Goat Grass. This species is native to the Mediterranean region and western Asia, with occurrences in areas such as Palestine and the Levant. It has also been recorded in various locations including Portugal, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Denmark, the United States, Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, the Canary Islands, and other regions. First described by Roth in 1787, it is a widely distributed grass species.
