Ourisia vulcanica, described by Lucy B. Moore in 1961, is a flowering plant species in the family Plantaginaceae. It is endemic to the North Island of New Zealand, specifically the Volcanic Plateau region. The species is classified as At Risk - Naturally Uncommon.

Description

Ourisia vulcanica is a perennial, rhizomatous herb that can be hairy with non-glandular hairs or glabrous. It has crenate, ovate leaves and produces flowers in pairs at each node. The flowers feature an irregular calyx and a white, irregular corolla. The calyx and floral bracts are covered with non-glandular hairs. The corolla tube is yellow with three lines of hairs and an internal ring of hairs. This species is restricted to the Volcanic Plateau area of the North Island of New Zealand.
