Ourisia spathulata is a perennial herb in the Plantaginaceae family, native to high-elevation areas in Southland, South Island, New Zealand. Described by Mary Kalin Arroyo in 1984, this species is known for its small, hairy leaves and zygomorphic flowers with white corollas and yellow interiors. It is classified as At Risk - Naturally Uncommon.

Description

Ourisia spathulata is a small-leaved, perennial herb found in high-elevation habitats in Southland, New Zealand. The plant is covered in a mix of glandular and non-glandular hairs, with velvety, spathulate, crenate leaves arranged oppositely and closely along its creeping stem. The flowers, which appear singly or in pairs at each node, have a zygomorphic calyx and corolla. The corolla is white, with a glabrous yellow corolla tube. This species was described by Mary Kalin Arroyo in 1984 and is currently listed as At Risk - Naturally Uncommon due to its limited distribution and population size.
