Osmoxylon mariannense is a tree species in the Araliaceae family, native to Rota in the Northern Mariana Islands. It is critically rare, with only eight mature individuals recorded in a 2002 survey. The species is classified as endangered under U.S. federal law.

Description

Osmoxylon mariannense (Kaneh.) Fosberg & Sachet is a member of the Araliaceae family and is found exclusively in the Marianas, specifically on Rota. Due to its extremely limited population, it is considered one of the rarest tree species in the world. As of 2002, only eight mature trees were documented. Conservation efforts are necessary to protect this species, which is recognized as endangered by the United States government.
