Orthophytum sucrei

Orthophytum sucrei, part of the Bromeliaceae family, was formally described by H.Luther in 1997. This species is primarily found in the Northeast region of Brazil, a known biodiversity hotspot for bromeliads. Its distribution extends beyond Brazil, indicating a wider global presence. The genus Orthophytum includes various epiphytic and terrestrial species, many of which are adapted to tropical and subtropical environments.
