Ophioderma falcatum is a fern in the Ophioglossaceae family, native to several Hawaiian islands and other Pacific islands. It is an epiphytic plant and is sometimes classified as a subspecies of Ophioderma pendulum. Known locally in Hawaii as puapua moa or laukahi, it is often still grouped under the genus Ophioglossum.

Description

Ophioderma falcatum is a member of the Ophioglossaceae family, found as an epiphyte in native Hawaiian habitats, excluding Ni'ihau and Kaho'olawe. It is also present on various other Pacific islands. The species was first described in 1932 and is recognized by the scientific name Ophioderma falcatum (C.Presl) Deg. Some taxonomic treatments place it as a subspecies of Ophioderma pendulum. Commonly referred to as puapua moa or laukahi in Hawaiian, it is frequently included in the genus Ophioglossum in some classifications.
