Ochna pulchra, known as Lekkerbreek, is a small deciduous tree native to southern Africa, growing up to 5 m tall. It is part of the Ochnaceae family, which is distributed across Asia and Africa.

Description

Ochna pulchra is a tree species found in Angola, Botswana, Caprivi Strip, Congo, Gabon, Mozambique, Namibia, Northern Provinces, Zambia, Zaïre, and Zimbabwe. It typically grows on deep sandy soil and rocky slopes. The species was first described in 1843 by Hook. The genus Ochna is part of the Ochnaceae family, a tropical plant family.
