Ochna inermis is a member of the Ochnaceae family and is found in a range of countries including Botswana, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Northern Provinces, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, Yemen, and Zimbabwe. This species was originally published in 1912 by Schweinf. as a revision of the original description by Forssk. Its distribution spans across various ecosystems in these regions.
