Oakes' evening primrose

Oenothera oakesiana (A.Gray) J.W.Robbins ex S.Watson is a member of the Onagraceae family, commonly referred to as the evening primrose family. This species is found in various regions, including Newfoundland, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, as well as parts of Europe such as Belgium, the Flemish Region, Walloon Region, France, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Italy, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Germany. The species was first published in 1878.
