Nymphaea prolifera is a species of waterlily in the Nymphaeaceae family, native to regions spanning from Mexico to Brazil and northeastern Argentina. It was described by Wiersema in 1984.

Description

Nymphaea prolifera is a waterlily species in the Nymphaeaceae family, occurring in the Neotropical region. Its distribution includes Mexico (Gulf and Southeast), Costa Rica, Ecuador, Paraguay, Brazil (South and West-Central), and northeastern Argentina. It was first published in 1984 by Wiersema. The species has also been reported in Uruguay.
