Nymphaea potamophila is a species of waterlily in the family Nymphaeaceae, native to Venezuela, northern Brazil, and Colombia.

Description

Nymphaea potamophila is a species of waterlily belonging to the genus Nymphaea and the family Nymphaeaceae. It is native to the Neotropical region, with a distribution that includes Venezuela, northern Brazil, and Colombia. Within Colombia, it is found in areas such as Guainía, Vichada, and the Amazonia nororiental region, particularly in the departamento del Guainía and the municipio de Inírida. It also occurs in the Orinoquia, Guayana, and Serranía de La Macarena regions. The species was first described and published in 1984 by Wiersema.
