Nuxia floribunda, known as forest elder, forest nuxia, or wild elder, is a tree species in the Stilbaceae family. It is native to moist regions across southern Africa, East Africa, and central tropical Africa.

Description

Nuxia floribunda is a tree species belonging to the Stilbaceae family. It is found in several countries including Burundi, Cape Provinces, Kenya, KwaZulu-Natal, Malawi, Mozambique, Northern Provinces, Rwanda, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zaïre, and Zimbabwe. The species was first described in 1836 by Benth. It is native to moist regions of southern Africa, East Africa, and central tropical Africa.
