Nothofagus macrocarpa, known as roble de Santiago or Santiago's oak, is a deciduous tree in the Nothofagaceae family. It is endemic to the mountainous regions of central Chile.

Description

Nothofagus macrocarpa (A.DC.) F.M.Vázquez & R.A.Rodr. is a species in the genus Nothofagus, part of the Nothofagaceae family. It is native to the central Chile region and was formally described in 1999. This tree is known by the common names roble de Santiago or Santiago's oak and is adapted to the mountainous terrain of its native range.
