Description
Crepis mollis is a herbaceous perennial species within the Asteraceae family, characterized by its erect, hollow flowering stems that can be either glabrous or pubescent. Rosette leaves are narrowly obovate to elliptic, 4.0-27.0 cm long, with dentate or entire margins and obtuse or acute apices. Cauline leaves are narrowly ovate or obovate, often amplexicaul or petiole-like, and may be glabrous or pubescent. The synflorescence is corymbiform, with peduncles that are tomentose and glandular. The involucre is campanulate, with narrowly ovate or deltoid outer bracts and narrowly ovate inner bracts. The corolla is ligulate, yellow in color, with a yellow or purple-toothed ligule. Achenes are cylindrical, smooth, and reddish brown, with approximately 20 ribs.
