Burmannia biflora, known as northern bluethread, is a plant species native to the southeastern United States and Cuba. It is found in states including Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. The species was first described in 1753.

Description

Burmannia biflora is a member of the Burmanniaceae family. It is distributed across several southeastern U.S. states and Cuba, growing in specific habitats within these regions. The plant is also reported from Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. It is commonly referred to as northern bluethread in English.
