Protea pendula, known as Nodding Sugarbush, is a flowering plant in the Proteaceae family. It is native to the Cape Region of South Africa and is not found naturally elsewhere. The plant is also referred to as arid sugarbush and is known in Afrikaans as knikkopsuikerbossie or ondersteboknopprotea.

Description

Protea pendula is a species of the Protea genus, part of the Proteaceae family. It is indigenous to the Cape Region of South Africa and is not distributed globally in the wild. The plant is known by the common names Nodding Sugarbush and arid sugarbush. In Afrikaans, it is called knikkopsuikerbossie or ondersteboknopprotea. The species was first described in 1810 by Robert Brown.
