Noaea mucronata is a species in the Chenopodiaceae family, native to regions across the Middle East, North Africa, and parts of Europe and Central Asia. It was first described in 1887 by Asch. & Schweinf., with the original authorship attributed to Forssk.

Description

Noaea mucronata is a member of the Chenopodiaceae family, commonly known as the goosefoot family. Its distribution spans multiple countries, including Afghanistan, Algeria, Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon-Syria, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Turkmenistan. This species is found in a range of arid to semi-arid environments, often in regions with Mediterranean or continental climates. The plant is part of the genus Noaea, which is characterized by specific morphological traits typical of the Chenopodiaceae family. The species was formally published in 1887 by botanists Asch. & Schweinf., based on earlier work by Forssk.
