Nepenthes vieillardii belongs to the genus Nepenthes in the family Nepenthaceae. It was first described in 1873 by Hook.f. and is native to New Caledonia. The species is distributed in shrubland and forest habitats, with a maximum elevation of 900 metres. Its range is the easternmost among all Nepenthes species.
