Nepenthes reinwardtiana is a tropical pitcher plant species in the family Nepenthaceae. It is native to Borneo and Sumatra, as well as smaller surrounding islands such as Bangka, Natuna, Nias, and Siberut. Some records from Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore are considered incorrect.

Description

Nepenthes reinwardtiana, described by Miq. in 1852, belongs to the genus Nepenthes and is part of the family Nepenthaceae. This species is distributed across parts of Southern Asia, with a primary range on the islands of Borneo and Sumatra. It also occurs on several smaller islands in the region, including Bangka, Natuna, Nias, and Siberut. Earlier reports of its presence in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore are now regarded as erroneous. The species is characterized by its carnivorous pitchers and is adapted to tropical environments.
