Nepenthes kongkandana is a tropical pitcher plant species found only in Songkhla Province, southern Thailand. It belongs to the genus Nepenthes in the family Nepenthaceae and was described in 2015 by M. Catal. and T. Kruetr. This species is closely related to N. kerrii.

Description

Nepenthes kongkandana is a member of the pitcher plant family, Nepenthaceae, and is native to Thailand. It was formally published in 2015 by M. Catal. and T. Kruetr. The species is restricted to Songkhla Province in southern Thailand. It is taxonomically close to N. kerrii, sharing morphological and ecological similarities. As a carnivorous plant, it produces specialized pitcher-shaped leaves that trap and digest insects. The species is part of the diverse and ecologically significant genus Nepenthes, known for its unique adaptations to nutrient-poor environments.
