Nepenthes kitanglad is a tropical pitcher plant from the Philippines, belonging to the Nepenthaceae family. It is found only on Mount Kitanglad in Bukidnon Province, Mindanao, where it grows as an epiphyte in mossy forest at elevations of 1,800–2,100 m. It is part of the 'N. alata group', a group of species sharing certain morphological traits such as winged petioles and broad-based upper pitchers.

Description

Nepenthes kitanglad differs from N. saranganiensis by having angled (rather than winged) stems, strongly dimorphic lower and upper pitchers (rather than subdimorphic), and a strongly concave pitcher mouth with a long neck. It is a climbing epiphyte of forest, unlike the terrestrial shrub habit of N. saranganiensis. The species is named after Mount Kitanglad, its type and only known locality. It was described in 2013 by Jebb & Cheek as part of a taxonomic revision of the N. alata group.
