Nepenthes graciliflora is a tropical pitcher plant native to the Philippines. Initially regarded as a synonym of N. alata, it was reclassified as a distinct species in 2013 by Martin Cheek and Matthew Jebb. It is found on several islands, including Bohol, Leyte, Luzon, Mindanao, Mindoro, Panay, Samar, and Sibuyan. This species is the most widespread Nepenthes in the Philippines after the redelimitation of N. alata. It typically grows in mossy, submontane forests at elevations of 800–1,280 m, though a type specimen was collected at 300 m on Sibuyan.

Description

Nepenthes graciliflora belongs to the genus Nepenthes in the family Nepenthaceae. It is a tropical pitcher plant species that is endemic to the Philippines. The species was originally described in 1912 by Elmer and was long considered a synonym of N. alata. However, in 2013, it was recognized as a distinct species by Martin Cheek and Matthew Jebb. It is distributed across multiple islands in the Philippines, including Bohol, Leyte, Luzon, Mindanao, Mindoro, Panay, Samar, and Sibuyan. It inhabits mossy, submontane forest environments, typically between 800 and 1,280 m in elevation, with the exception of a type specimen collected at 300 m on Sibuyan.
