Hakea leucoptera, known as needle hakea, is a shrub or small tree in the Proteaceae family. It has rigid, sharply pointed leaves and white, cream, or yellow flowers that bloom in late spring and early summer. It is found across central Australia, including New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria, and Western Australia.

Description

Hakea leucoptera, also called silver needlewood, pin bush, or water tree, is a member of the Proteaceae family. This species is characterized by its cylindrical, rigid leaves and flowers that range in color from white to yellow. It is native to several regions in Australia, including New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria, and Western Australia. The plant is widespread and common in central parts of the Australian mainland. Its name in the Koori language is booldoobah.
