Description
Neea laxa belongs to the Nyctaginaceae family, commonly known as the four-o'clock family. This species has a wide distribution across northern and central South America. It occurs in the Amazonas region, particularly in the Parque Nacional Natural de Amacayacu and Parque Nacional Natural Tinigua, as well as in the city of Leticia. The species extends beyond Amazonian regions to Brazil's Northeast, North, and Southeast, and is also present in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.
