Natal cocatree

Nectaropetalum zuluense belongs to the genus Nectaropetalum and is part of the Erythroxylaceae family, a group of flowering plants. It is known by the common name Natal cocatree in English. The species is distributed across parts of southern Africa, including KwaZulu-Natal and Tanzania. The scientific name was formally published in 1919 by Corbishley, who reclassified the species from its original description by Schönland.
