Physostegia angustifolia is a species in the Lamiaceae family, known as narrowleaf false dragonhead. It is native to several regions in the United States, including Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. The species was first described in 1943 by Fernald.

Description

Physostegia angustifolia belongs to the genus Physostegia and is part of the Lamiaceae family, commonly referred to as the mint family. This species is native to a range of states across the southeastern and central United States. Its distribution includes Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. The species was formally described and published in 1943 by the botanist Fernald. It is known by the common name narrowleaf false dragonhead in English.
