Cornus obliqua, known as Narrow-Leaved Dogwood, is a flowering shrub native to eastern North America and part of the Cornaceae family. It was first described in 1819 by Raf. and is sometimes classified as a subspecies of Cornus amomum. It belongs to the subgenus Kraniopsis.

Description

Cornus obliqua is a shrub found in regions including New Brunswick, Ontario, Quebec, and several U.S. states such as Vermont, Arkansas, and Illinois. It is also known by the names blue-fruited dogwood and silky dogwood. This species is part of the Cornaceae family and is closely related to Cornus amomum, which is also referred to as silky dogwood.
