Narcissus nevadensis is a species of daffodil in the Amaryllidaceae family, native to the Baetic System in Spain. It is classified in Section Nevadensis and is considered endangered. In 1992, it was designated as a 'priority species' under Annex II of the Habitats Directive in the European Union, allowing for the designation of Special Areas of Conservation where it occurs.

Description

Narcissus nevadensis, described by Pugsley in 1933, is a daffodil species in the Amaryllidaceae family. It is found in the Baetic System region of Spain and is classified in Section Nevadensis of the genus Narcissus. Due to its conservation status, it was listed as a 'priority species' under Annex II of the Habitats Directive in 1992. This designation enables the declaration of Special Areas of Conservation for the habitats in which it is found, provided these habitats are listed in Annex I of the directive.
