Nanuza plicata

Nanuza plicata is a member of the Velloziaceae family, a group of flowering plants primarily found in South America. The species is distributed across the Northeast and Southeast regions of Brazil, where it grows in its native habitat. The scientific name was established in 1976 by L.B.Sm. & Ayensu, building upon the earlier taxonomic work by Mart. This species is part of the genus Nanuza, which includes other related species within the same family.
