Vitis mustangensis, known as the Mustang grape, is a species native to the southern United States. It is found in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma.

Description

Vitis mustangensis, a member of the Vitaceae family, is a grape species native to the southern U.S. and parts of northeastern Mexico. It is distributed in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas, and the Mexican Northeast. This species was first described in 1862 by Buckley. Commonly referred to as the Mustang grape, it is a part of the Vitis genus, which includes various grapevine species.
