Semiaquilegia adoxoides is a perennial flowering plant in the family Ranunculaceae, native to China, Korea, and Japan, with an introduced population on Taiwan. It is the sole species in the genus Semiaquilegia and resembles plants in the genus Aquilegia.

Description

Semiaquilegia adoxoides, described by Makino in 1902, is a member of the Ranunculaceae family. It occurs naturally in China, Korea, and Japan, and has been introduced to Taiwan. The species is often the only representative of its genus and is botanically related to the genus Aquilegia. Its common name is muskroot-like semiaquilegia.
