Aphananthe aspera is a flowering plant in the Cannabaceae family, commonly known as mukutree. It is native to China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and Vietnam, where it grows on slopes and stream banks at elevations between 100 and 1600 m. The species was first described in 1873.

Description

Aphananthe aspera (Thunb.) Planch. is a member of the Cannabaceae family. It is found in North-Central, South-Central, and Southeast China, as well as in Japan, Korea, the Nansei-shoto, Taiwan, and Vietnam. This species typically inhabits slopes and stream banks. The name was published in 1873.
