Muehlenbeckia australis, known as large-leaved muehlenbeckia or pohuehue, is a prostrate or climbing plant native to New Zealand. It belongs to the Polygonaceae family and is found on the Chatham Islands, as well as the North and South Islands of New Zealand and Norfolk Island. The species was first described in 1839.

Description

Muehlenbeckia australis is a member of the genus Muehlenbeckia in the Polygonaceae family. It is a prostrate or climbing plant that is indigenous to several regions, including the Chatham Islands, the North and South Islands of New Zealand, and Norfolk Island. The species was published in 1839 under the authorship of (G.Forst.) Meisn.
