Picea morrisonicola, known as the Mount Morrison Spruce, is a conifer species in the Pinaceae family. It is native to Taiwan and is the only spruce species found there. This tree can grow up to 50 m tall and 1.5 m in diameter. It is found in the Central Mountain Range at altitudes of 2,000–2,500 m, typically in ravines and on mountain slopes, often in mixed forests.

Description

Picea morrisonicola is a conifer in the Pinaceae family, native to Taiwan. It is the southernmost spruce species, occurring near the Tropic of Cancer and is only hardy to USDA Zone 8. The tree can reach heights of 50 m and diameters of 1.5 m. It is distributed in the Central Mountain Range at elevations between 2,000 and 2,500 m, growing in ravines and on mountain slopes, often in association with other tree species.
